In this role, you'll provide vital support to veterinarians, deliver top-notch patient care, and help clients navigate urgent medical needs with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians in diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
Perform essential technical duties such as:
IV catheter placement, monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients, administering medications and fluids.
Assist with anesthesia monitoring and recovery during surgical procedures
Collecting samples for diagnostics (e.g., blood, urine, cytology).
Radiography and laboratory analysis.
Triage patients and provide initial assessments.
Educate and support clients regarding pet health and post-visit care.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with practice standards.
Qualifications:
Active and current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in California is required
Previous experience in a general practice, urgent care and/or emergency setting is a plus
Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Schedule:
40 hours/ week- (4 day a week work schedule/10 hr shifts)
Salary:
Competitive salary commensurate with experience ($28-32/hr)
