American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care ICU night shift position requiring at least 5 years of recent unit-based ICU experience and multiple advanced certifications.

• Work in an ICU unit within a hospital environment
• Provides care for adult, geriatric, pediatric, and adolescent patient populations
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, typically 3 nights per week (19:00 to 07:30)
• Assignment length is 13-16 weeks during the winter
• Uses Epic for computerized charting and documentation
• Rapid response team experience is highly preferred
• Responsible for delivering advanced critical care to a wide age range of patients with complex conditions
• Holiday coverage is required, with a maximum of one major holiday off and up to 7 days total RTO, none in the first 2 weeks
• No first time travelers will be considered for this position
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Urgent completion of Ohio fingerprinting process is required upon signing contract
• Assignment provides critical winter coverage support
• References from coworkers are not accepted; must be from supervisory staff
• RTO requests must be submitted and approved with contract

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio State) in hand at the time of consideration
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program is required
• Must have 5 years of recent, unit-based permanent ICU experience (travel experience does not count toward baseline)
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and either CCRN or OCN
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
• Former employees eligible if more than 6 months have passed since last employment
• Current Ohio State University hospital employees are ineligible
