Responsibilities
- Champion and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Develop, manage, and optimize the departments annual budget.
- Monitor and achieve departmental KPIs across Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery metrics.
- Lead recruitment efforts for G-level and skilled positions, including interviewing and selection.
- Design and implement training programs for frontline leaders and skilled team members.
- Oversee daily operations including work planning, performance evaluations, associate recognition and discipline, payroll processing, and issue resolution.
- Maintain floor standards through 6S practices and drive associate engagement.
- Lead and manage department-level improvement initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
- 5+ years experience in automotive (high volume) or steel manufacturing.
- 3+ years experience in management with direct reports, KPIs, and cost/waste/manpower reduction.
- 5+ years experience with machining process engineering, CNC programming, tooling, jig & fixture design, and centerless grinding fundamentals.
- 5+ years experience working with weld cells and Fanuc robots.
- 5+ years experience in mechanical or welding engineering or equivalent process experience.
Work Environment
- This position operates within a production floor environment, consisting of 5 weld lines, 4 bulge lines, and 1 paint line.
- Core working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
