Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused MRI/CT Technologist to join our outpatient imaging center in Richmond. This is a contract opening for a professional who is committed to providing high-quality imaging services while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Contract Details

• Position: Travel MRI Technologist
• Location: Richmond, VA
• Shift: 5x8 Hours Day
• Shift Timing: 8 am to 4:30 pm
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Days: M-F
• Start Date: ASAP
• Weekend Requirements: TBD
• Duration: 4 weeks plus extension
• Pay: $2500 - $2750/weekly gross

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI and radiographic exams by verifying orders, confirming identity, and completing thorough screenings.
• Perform routine and emergent MRI and radiographic exams on patients of all ages.
• Operate and maintain MRI scanners, performing quality control checks as required.
• Administer contrast agents safely, including IV placement, and screen patients for contraindications.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with radiologists and team members to deliver timely and accurate diagnostic results.
• Monitor and maintain supplies to ensure uninterrupted services.
• Maintain flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Advanced MRI certification from ARRT required.
• Virginia State Radiologic Technologist License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Siemens MRI experience preferred.
