As a Material Science/Metallurgical Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Daily review of production process data
Analyze disposition of non-conforming product
Participate on quality improvement teams
Conduct and analyze mill experiments
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports
Analyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures and make recommendations for improvement
Various other projects as needed to support the business
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in the field of Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or other related technical degree
Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2026
