Job Duties

The Customer Service Assistant 2/Certification Licensure Examiner 2 plays a key role in supporting the Board's operations and leadership. In this role, you will be responsible for:
Responding to inquiries, requests for information, and complaints that require in-depth knowledge of applicable laws, rules, policies, procedures, and Ohio Revised Codes (ORC) 4713 and 4709, as well as Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 4713
Independently determining appropriate action for resolution based on the given situation
Retrieving messages and returning calls to licensees
Providing information relevant to cases to internal and external customers by phone, in writing, email, and other means of communication
Reviewing applications and supplemental documents for licensure or renewal/reinstatement (e.g., new license applications, exam applications, renewals, and duplicate license requests) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable laws, rules, and procedures
Processing fee payments for applications
Providing information and assistance to the general public and licensees to aid in processing license applications
Gathering and analyzing information and completing reports
Scanning and indexing files into eLicense
Updating license data
Printing licenses
Writing correspondence
Operating a personal computer/word processor to enter, update, correct, and retrieve or verify information for licensees
Performing additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor, Deputy Director, and/or Executive Director (e.g., clerical support tasks)

Or the equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
