Remote Location - OH Columbus, Ohio 43215Hourly Rate is between $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Payroll Administrator supports the organizations payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The position will support the companys third-party payroll services provider in the process of payroll.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzing, preparing, and inputting payroll data for multiple locations in multiple states
Supports benefits, HR, and Payroll Manager with all federal, state, and local laws regarding payroll, tax, and reporting requirements
Research and resolve routine employee paycheck related questions
Complies with all internal payroll policies and procedures
Processes payroll related audit requests
Supports configuration changes in the Workday Payroll system
Collaborates with accounting, benefits, and human resources teams
Strong background in processing final pay in CA, OR and NY
Responsible for working with the Legal Department on any over-payment letters and documenting, the reason for the error and suggested improvements
Supports the third-party payroll services provider
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of payroll or finance experience
Experience with US multi-state payroll
Experience with Workday Payroll preferred
Experience working at a healthcare company
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Attention to detail, confidentiality, ability to work independently
Knowledge and understanding of multi-state payroll and taxes at the federal, state, and local level
Knowledge of labor and tax laws related to payroll
Skill in applying and following standard procedures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a solution-oriented mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on customer service to provide clear and detailed responses
Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of staff
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Includes a typical remote office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
Ability to work on a computer throughout the majority of the day, as tasks require
Ability to use and speak on the phone or via teleconference, as needed throughout the day
