Job Description
As a Color Lab Technician, you will prepare color samples for evaluation and formulation to support the Refinish Color Matching team. You will report directly to the Color Lab Supervisor in our Delaware, Ohio Plant. Your primary responsibilities will include mixing wet paint, reducing/spraying paint samples, and general preparation and cleanup of lab areas.
Responsibilities
- Mix and spray functions to meet production demands.
- Acquire color formulations from Color Matcher and prepare sample mixtures based on given paint formulations/recipes.
- Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of color lab paint samples.
- Acquire wet paint samples from mixing stations and spray samples according to predefined specifications.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in clean condition.
Essential Skills
- Experience in lab tech, chemistry, biology, wet chemistry, paint, and pigment handling.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) or Associate of Science (AS) degree is preferred.
- Candidates without a degree should have a steady work history and good tenure in past roles from fast-paced or on-your-feet environments
Work Environment
This is a first shift opening, operating from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including safety shoes, and all other PPE will be supplied. Contractors will be fitted for a respirator and must be clean-shaven on the first day.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
