Product Engineer

Downlite LIte a Down Bedding Manufacturer is expanding in their Engineering Department.

Responsibilities:

· Thoroughly review PLMs (Product Lifecycle Management) documents to ensure all new product specifications are well defined and accurate

· Accurately create all new part numbers including finish good and raw materials along with completing Bill of Materials (BOMs) in an ERP system, BC, Business Central.

· Develop specification documents with product drawings (RMPs - Raw Material Profiles) for purchased items for our outside vendors

· Revise and update item maintenance, BOMs and RMPs as needed.

· Review, update and maintain customer profiles and vendor compliance manuals as assigned

· Work with several other departments including Product Management, Marketing and Design, Sales, Sales Support, Sourcing/Purchasing and Quality Assurance departments on a day-to-day basis gathering information to perform job duties

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by Manager

Requirements and Qualifications:

· Associates degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience preferred

· 1-3 Years manufacturing or engineering experience preferred

· Possess a detailed knowledge of an ERP system desired

· Comprehensive knowledge of BOM structure

· Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Illustrator preferred

· Ability to work independently, resolve issues without detailed direction, and work as part of a team

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Capability to accurately and efficiently work on multiple projects

· Possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

· Demonstrate strong attention to detail

Retail link experience would be preferred
