Job Summary and QualificationsThe Quality Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, implementation, improvement, and successful achievement/compliance of core measure indicators in accordance with CMS guidelines. The coordinator maintains and coordinates timely policies and procedures maintenance, review/revision, posting, and distribution. The Coordinator organizes and maintains systematic data collection and flow of information between departments and into applicable committees.
What you will do in this role:
- Monitor compliance with the Quality program, policies, and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate Quality program activities, assist with development and implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Ensure program component necessary for Regulatory Compliance.
- Conduct staff education for performance improvement and patient safety activities.
- Participate on PI focus teams and tracer activities.
- Communicate issues/variances with the Lead Quality Coordinator.
- Coordinate QM participation throughout the facility.
- Maintain systematic data collection for monitoring, trending, and reporting of Quality & Pt Safety.
- Perform QM duties relative to assigned Medical Staff Committees/services.
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Maintain appropriate Quality files.
- Participate in New Employee Orientation to Quality/Risk.
- Communicate effectively with staff and physicians regarding Quality & regulatory compliance.
What qualifications you will need:
- RN Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
- 3 years of clinical RN experience required.
- Prior Quality Data Abstraction or related experience preferred.
