About You:

We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and our ideal candidate is someone who feels the same.

Communication is key in our industry, and we are looking for people who navigate both client and interpersonal communication with skill and ease. We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant who is already comfortable with restraining, assisting with appointments, drawing blood, mixing vaccines and intermittent front desk help. We highly value collaboration from all staff members, so please speak up as your input is not only valued but can make a difference.

We also treat a fair number of exotic patients, so interest in treating exotics is important! If you are excited to expand your skills and care for a wide variety of species, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Compensation:

$16.50-$20.00 an hour depending on experience and education.

Schedule:

This is a Part-Time position

Monday and Tuesday - 9am-6pm

Requirements
  • Prior experience working in a veterinary setting.
  • Experience in handling animals and performing basic animal care tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassion and patience when handling animals.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members.
  • Willingness to take direction and adapt to new tasks and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Punctuality and reliability, with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of care.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a compassionate approach to client care.
  • Willingness to continue learning and stay updated on veterinary practices.
