Job Description


Main Function

Supports bi-weekly payroll processing, utilizing the ADP system, to include benefit funding and submission of payroll related returns.Records daily cash transaction and monthly bank reconciliations. Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations to support month-end close. Supports reimbursement submissions for grant activities.

 

Outline of Responsibilities

  • Record banking and investment activity, including bank reconciliations, preparation of journal entries and related reports.
  • Support monthly reimbursement submissions for grant activities.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support month end close.
  • Prepare worksheets and schedules to support analysis of monthly budget to actual variances.
  • Prepare assigned analyses and schedules to support audit and tax return preparation
  • Serve as backup to other team members.
  • Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll using the ADP system.
  • Respond to staff requests for information or assistance.
  • Other duties as defined.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. At least four years of accounting and payroll experience may be considered in lieu of education. Experience with federal and state grants, ERP Systems and ADP is preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical, critical thinking, prioritization, and teaming skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel required.

Pay Range: $62,151 to $93,226 annually, actual compensation is dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education, skills and qualifications for the role.
