General Purpose
MillerKnoll is looking for a Manhattan Active Omni Software Engineer - Retail to join our Digital Engineering and Platforms team. As a Software Engineer - Retail, you will own and support existing customizations as well as scoping, designing, and configuring new features and functionality in our retail systems environment. The primary focus for this role would be Manhattan Active Order Management a nd associated i ntegrations.

Partner with stakeholders to drive best practice adoption in Manhattan Active Omni O rder M anagement, ensuring optimal use of application features to support scalable and efficient fulfillment operations.
Contribute to configuration, design, and technical analysis efforts, leveraging working knowledge of Manhattan Active Omni POS, OMS, and WMS to guide effective enhancements and ensure alignment across business stakeholders.
Engage in Agile development practices through active involvement in sprint activities, scrum ceremonies, code reviews, and cross-training sessions, with Jira as a central tool for workflow tracking and team alignment.
Partner with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and business experts to review bugs/issues, advise on capabilities native to the platform and design solutions for non-standard requirements.
Assist in facilitating training sessions and providing guidance to end users on effective utilization of SCI reporting.
Maintain documentation for customizations, processes, and trouble-shooting guides .
Participate in the verification and testing of system build deployments.
Review escalated system issues/bugs from the Helpdesk team to determine if technical changes are required and create and propose well-considered solutions.
Assist with security audit tasks by providing reporting and necessary data.

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in C omputer S cience , Information Systems , Supply Chain or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Skills and Abilities
35 years of proven experience applying Manhattan Active Omni solutions in real-world retail environments, with a background that includes collaboration as a client, systems integrator, or former Manhattan Associates employeecovering related integrations across POS, OMS, and WMS platforms.
Minimum 5 years' configuring and/or customizing Manhattan Active Order Management system.
3-5 years' of retail systems such as Point of Sale (POS), Warehouse Management (WMS), Order Management (OMS), and associated i ntegrations.
Overall understanding and experience with microservices applications.
Advanced knowledge of following MAO areas, including principles, methodology , best practices, technical architecture, integration architecture
Enterprise Inventory and Inventory Availability
Order Routing & Allocation
Fulfilment Optimization
Payment Processing and Invoicing
Pricing, Promos, Taxes
Customer Service Operations
Java knowledge to effectively manage and troubleshoot extensions .
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with Manhattan Associates, including PSO Directors and Account Executives, to support strategic alignment and successful implementation efforts.
Experience working in a SOX and PCI compliant organization.
Experience with Agile development methodologies (SC R UM, Kanban).
SQL knowledge and relational databases principles .
Experience working with integrations, knowledge of Postman, API endpoint management, and programming against protocols/frameworks such as REST, OpenAPI, gRPC .
Experience w riting integrations into third party services such as payment gateways, tax services and gift card providers.
Strong analysis skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Familiarity with a windows environment, HTML, JavaScript, XML, JSON, Version control experience preferred SOAP, ReST / oData , SQL proficiency .

A starting compensation range for this role is $110,000.00 - $125,000.00. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
