The Auditor HR Employment Compliance supports I-9, E-Verify, employment form and minimum wage compliance. This position works with hiring managers, HRBPs, HR Direct, and government agencies to ensure federal, state, and provincial requirements are met. This role is responsible for taking a proactive role in resolving related issues and recommending processes to optimize efficiencies. Additionally, this position ensures that all critical processes and compliance points are completed timely and accurately.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to required standards and controls.
  • Manage I-9 and Employment forms compliance for all associates in the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
  • Support minimum wage compliance by completing weekly audits and coordinating correction of associate pay prior to each bi-weekly payroll.
  • Drive resolution of escalated I-9, E-Verify, and E-form issues and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and close gaps.
  • Identify and propose departmental process improvements to drive efficiencies, including procedural documentation updates in a controlled environment.
  • Work with outside vendors on day-to-day processes and issue resolution.
  • Research and document compliance requirements for federal, state, local and provincial laws.
  • Identify training opportunities and support training for hiring managers and onboarding teams.
  • Support legal requests and DHS/USCIS audits.
  • Audit, research and resolve escalated cases assigned from HR Direct for all onboarding compliance related issues.
  • Support system release and E-form testing to ensure system functionality meets requirements.
  • Provide high-quality customer service by responding promptly and efficiently to incoming inquiries.
  • Provide ongoing compliance reporting to multiple cross-functional partners to assist in influencing and driving compliance

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years’ experience with auditing with I-9, E-Verify, minimum wage, employment form or other related experience
  • Previous experience in the onboarding space, a plus
  • Knowledge of laws and compliance regulations that govern labor and employment practices at the local, state, regional, national, and international level
  • Familiarity with Oracle HCM and Kronos preferred
Must have the ability to:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
