Job Summary and Qualifications Ultrasound Technologist - PRN/Per Diem
At HCA Florida Healthcare, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for producing quality, diagnostic radiographs, and ready for Radiologist interpretation. Your tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for distribution of all dictated reports and charting, stapling, mailing, filing of return films and purging of file rooms during slow time on shift
- Obtain signed informed consents prior to procedures
- Ensure equipment maintenance needs are reported immediately to supervisor to ensure safety and minimal down time
- Ensure exam room is stocked with supplies/linens and prepared for patient and Radiologist prior to exams
- Responsible for patient privacy, comfort and safety while patient is in the procedure room
- Ability to perform routine and specialty procedures on all patients including ICU, ER, and OR
Qualifications:
- 2-year Allied Health degree and successful completion of a 12-month accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- Valid ARDMS registry; RVT within 6 months
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 1-3 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience preferred
- Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, clerical, spelling and grammar skills
- Ability to read/comprehend written/verbal instructions
- Basic computer knowledge
