Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care

Join our fast-growing, physician-led company as a Nurse Practitioner to provide in-home and facility-based wound care in Knoxville, TN, focusing on patient assessments, chronic condition management, and collaboration with primary care physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams on adult patients with acute and chronic wounds.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications per federal, state, and local regulations.
• Communicate with primary care physicians or office staff about patient condition changes.
• Provide individualized patient education and counseling.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Valid, active Tennessee NP license in good standing.
• 3+ years of medical/surgical nursing experience in acute care.
• 2+ years in wound, ostomy, and continence care (preferred).
• 2+ years as an APRN (preferred).
• Board certification (ANP, FNP, GNP, or CNS).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Wound Care Certification (WCC) preferred, required within 1 year for full-time NPs.

• Ideal candidates have experience in wound care, hospice, or home health settings, with strong connections to post-acute care facilities, assisted living centers, or hospitals.
