Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel-powered trucks, heavy equipment, and machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and be committed to maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, inspect, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, and cooling systems.

  • Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid checks.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections per company and DOT standards.

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and perform calibrations or adjustments.

  • Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and parts usage in accordance with company systems.

  • Ensure shop safety protocols are followed and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Collaborate with service managers and other technicians to prioritize repair jobs and meet deadlines.

  • Stay current with manufacturer bulletins and technical service updates.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational certification preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience as a diesel technician or in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.

  • Working knowledge of diesel engines, DEF systems, air brakes, electrical diagnostics, and computer-based diagnostic tools.

  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASE Certifications in diesel engines or related systems.

  • Experience working with utility trucks, construction equipment, or fleet operations.

  • Familiarity with Cummins, CAT, John Deere, or other industry-standard equipment.
