Introduction
Our client is a hospital in Milpitas, California, seeking a Temporary Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to provide coverage through the end of 2025, with potential for continued employment depending on future clinic needs. This full-service veterinary facility delivers comprehensive care, including emergency services, specialty treatments, and routine wellness care in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. It is closed on Sundays. This is a full-time temporary position through the end of 2025.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform exams, diagnose and treat illnesses or injuries, conduct and interpret lab and diagnostic tests, perform surgeries and monitor patients through recovery with technician support. The role includes developing treatment and discharge plans, communicating with clients via phone, email, or chat, providing education on animal care and prevention, and performing humane euthanasia when necessary. The position requires maintaining accurate medical records for all patients.
Practice Details
The clinic is equipped with modern dental equipment, fully equipped surgical suites, cold laser therapy, and adjunctive therapy options. Services include urgent care, diagnostics, wellness exams, dental care, spays and neuters, surgeries, health certificates, sick visits, end-of-life care, and integrative treatments such as acupuncture and massage therapy. The clinic fosters a culture centered on the human-animal bond and exceptional care.

The Associate Veterinarian will work with experienced doctors and a talented support staff in a collaborative, teamwork-focused environment that values communication and community connection.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
