General Practice (Veterinarian)

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for an Associate Veterinarian/Emergency Veterinarian to join their transformative veterinary team in Encinitas, California. The practice delivers an elevated level of care to both patients and clients, with a focus on thorough, available, and continuous service.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role with 12-hour shifts scheduled on Tuesday (night), Wednesday (night), and one additional shift per week. The hospital provides 24/7 emergency and critical care coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate/Emergency Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering expert emergency and critical care. This includes urgent care, surgery, and hospitalization, with personalized treatment plans tailored to patient needs and client budgets. Candidates must have a valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California and at least one year of emergency experience. The role requires strong medical knowledge, communication skills, leadership abilities, and an interest in contributing to hospital development, including staff training, mentorship, and procedural growth.

Practice Details
The hospital is approximately 3,000 sq ft and includes multiple treatment tables, exam rooms, a surgical suite, and a staff break room. Services include surgery, emergency care, and urgent care. The culture is collaborative, and the team is driven by a shared passion for animal care.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
