Job Description
The Store Construction Assistant Analyst will provide financial and strategic support to the Construction team, aiding in the creation of accurate project estimates for new store builds, remodels, and updates worldwide. Additionally, the Store Construction Analyst is responsible for providing industry cost analysis, coordinating GC bidding, contracts, and vendor management. As part of the Construction team, the Analyst will work directly with the Senior Manager of Estimating and internal partners such as Store Concept & Design, Real Estate, Global Procurement, and Store Operations to continually audit & improve current department processes.
This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Conduct cost trend analysis to support the Senior Manager of Estimating by compiling historical data and generating insightful cost trend reports
- Develop cost forecasting models for various project types, utilizing comparable project data and industry benchmarks to ensure accuracy and relevance
- Manage vendor relationships by ensuring compliance with third party risk management protocols and maintaining current, comprehensive vendor profiles
- Oversee General Contractor (GC) bidding processes, coordinating all aspects to ensure timely and competitive submissions for each project
- Maintain and enhance GC expectation documentation to support clarity and consistency throughout the bidding and construction process
- Facilitate GC contract execution by collaborating effectively with both internal stakeholders and external partners
- Deliver ad-hoc analytical support to the Store Planning teams, providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions
What Do You Need To Bring?
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational, analytical, and communication skills both written and verbal with a strong attention to detail
- Proactive self-starter with a proven ability to identify and implement process improvement initiatives
- Bachelors degree in finance, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, or relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- 2+ years of work experience in financial planning and analysis, or the construction industry is preferred
