About the OSUWMC Supply Chain Department
The Supply Chain Department at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center plays a vital role in supporting our mission by securing high-value products and services essential to both clinical and business operations. We collaborate closely with clinicians, staff, and suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, distribution, and utilization of resources. Our team is committed to setting the standard for supply chain excellence, leveraging best practices to drive continuous improvement in patient care.

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager or Supervisor, this role is responsible for executing and maintaining an efficient, lean supply support system tailored to meet the needs of OSUWMCs clinical areas. The position involves managing inventory levels, stocking supplies, and serving as the primary liaison between the Distribution & Logistics Team and clinical departments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and replenishing supply inventory in clinical areas.
  • Maintaining accurate records of requisitions, deliveries, invoice confirmations, back-orders, implant pricing, and other supply chain data.
  • Tracking critical supply information such as manufacturer numbers, expiration dates, product recalls, and lot numbers.
  • Ensuring the successful implementation and upkeep of the two-bin Kanban system.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation required for accurate and timely requisitioning.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, contributing to a high-performing and responsive supply chain operation.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and 1 year of relevant inventory management experience.
