Graham Media Group in market No. 15 Orlando, Florida is looking for a Senior News Producer.
But its not just another grinding TV producer job. Its a content innovator who can produce TV, streaming and digital content. Its energized and inspired. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
- Competitive pay and benefits.
- Produce a live, local television newscast Monday-Friday
- Produce live and curated local news content on News 6+, our connected-TV and digital streaming service, and our website ClickOrlando.com, which delivers one of the largest audiences of unique visitors in Central Florida.
- Influence how reporters, anchors and other newsroom staff develop local stories, and showcase those stories in in ways that actively engage linear, digital, streaming and social audiences.
- Help lead the charge in driving breaking news urgently and accurately across platforms in a busy market.
- Coach and mentor others, including a vibrant pipeline of growing producers, trainees and interns.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Prior experience as a producer in at least two newsrooms and confidence in a live news control room.
- A sharp, conversational style and an ability to leverage process language that showcases journalists at work and the value theyre bringing viewers.
- Able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, managing deadline pressures and frequent changes.
- Fast learning curve when it comes to new technology.
- Multi-skilled in ways that stretch beyond the traditional role of broadcast news producer (shooting, editing, streaming, planning, etc).
- Strong communicator and self-starter who puts the team first and works hard to ensure the product is high-quality.
- Can blend good broadcast journalism with modern innovations in showcasing and content distribution that grow a station brand.
- Prior experience coaching teammates and collaborating with others at a high-performing level.
- A strong sense of curiosity and an ability to find information on your own, verify the validity of sources and communicate that information accurately to others.
- Willingness to work outside of scheduled hours as breaking news or station efforts require.
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Proficiency in multiple newsroom and digital content management systems.
- A college degree in journalism.
