Join the New Alternatives Inc. Team
New Alternatives, Inc. has a 45-year history of successfully partnering with children, youth, and families to promote healing, resilency and long-term success. We provide a continuum of services—including residential care, foster care, in-home supportive services, outpatient treatment, transitional housing, and school-based programs—for children and adolescents who have survived complex trauma in both San Diego and Orange Counties.
At New Alternatives, Inc., Trauma-Informed Care is not a single training—it is the foundation of how we think, interact, and make decisions. We are actively building and sustaining a trauma-informed culture that values safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural humility. Candidates can contribute to this culture by bringing their lived and professional experience to help youth feel seen, heard, and respected; applying trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices in everyday interactions with youth, families, and colleagues; and actively participating in training, reflective supervision, and team learning to deepen their skills and share strategies. We are looking for individuals who identify and build on youth and family strengths, advocate for their needs across systems, and offer feedback and ideas that improve program quality, promote equity, and strengthen our trauma-informed approach—helping to create an environment where youth, families, and staff can thrive.
