Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of Nome, Alaska, Norton Sound Health Corporation is proudly owned and managed by the 20 federally recognized tribes of the Bering Strait region. Our comprehensive tribal health system encompasses a regional hospital, a nursing home, and 15 village-based clinics, all dedicated to delivering exceptional, culturally sensitive healthcare to our communities. Our remote Arctic region is accessible only by air, located 500 miles from Alaska’s economic center in Anchorage and 104 miles south of the Arctic Circle. We employ dedicated health professionals eager to make a meaningful impact by delivering unique, culturally sensitive healthcare services to our people.
We are looking for a passionate and committed optometrist to join our team, and here are some of the enticing benefits of working with us:
• $40,000 Hiring Bonus: Offered in exchange for a two-year commitment.
• Generous Paid Time Off: Enjoy 208 hours of PTO per year in addition to 13 paid holidays and 5 additional days of subsistence leave.
