The Children’s Therapy Center, Inc. (TCTCI) is a premier private practice outpatient pediatric-sensory integration clinic in the Clear Lake Area. We have been in business for 30 years and our clinic is recognized as a top Pediatric- Sensory clinic by many pediatricians and health care professionals in the area. We provide occupational and speech therapy services along with specialized therapy intensives to target the needs of each child. Our clinic focuses on treating the "whole child" while supporting the family through cutting edge occupational and speech therapy services, feeding thrapy, social skill training, and occupational therapy intensives. Our therapy is fun and effective! We use an evidence-based practice approach that incorporates researched interventions, clinical expertise, and client/family goals so that each child will reach their full potential.

Rating: 5.0 July 15, 2025 Working at TCTCI My day is usually a mix of therapy sessions, documentation, planning, and collaboration. I see clients individually for 30 minute to 45 minute sessions, write notes, talk with parents, and sometimes prepare materials for upcoming sessions. It can be busy and unpredictable, especially when sessions get cancelled or a child has an off day. I’ve learned to be flexible and that plans can change quickly, and you have to meet clients where they are that day. I’ve also learned so much about the power of communication and how even small progress can make a big difference for a person’s life and confidence. I’ve been lucky to work with such a great team of individuals at TCTCI that are collaborative, creative, and truly child-centered. We share resources, celebrate wins together, and help each other when days get tough. Hardest Part of the Job: Balancing direct client care with documentation can be very challenging at times. The Most Enjoyable Part of the Job: Seeing a client light up when they communicate successfully whether it’s saying a new sound, using a word for the first time, or telling a story. Those moments feel meaningful and make all the behind-the-scenes work worth it. Also, building trusting relationships with families and feeling like you’re part of someone’s growth journey is incredibly rewarding.
