Restoration and Structural Engineering
Restore provides professional evaluation services of existing structures as the basis for designing cost-effective restoration solutions. Our evaluations determine the mechanisms that are the root cause of the deterioration in order to design appropriate repair and protection techniques. Our onsite investigations focus on identifying current deficiencies and repair needs while also assessing potential future problems. We develop preventative maintenance recommendations to assist in maintaining the value of the asset over time.

Restore provides structural engineering services on existing structures to owners, architects, and contractors. Services include analysis related to alterations/modifications of existing buildings for change of use, additional openings, or increased load due to new equipment. Analysis is also performed on structures that have experienced significant deterioration that may affect their load carrying capacity.

Parking Structures
We have extensive experience evaluating and restoring parking structures, including precast, cast-in-place, post-tensioned, and steel frame construction. Our management approach is to develop a project plan that involves all phases of a project, including evaluation, design, and construction administration. We draw on our vast expertise in the structural and condition assessment and restoration of parking structures to pay particular attention to communication and responsiveness, budgets, schedules, quality of work, and not charging unwarranted additional services.

Building Enclosures / Facades
Our team specializes in building enclosure/ façade evaluation and restoration for existing structures. We have worked on modern and historical buildings with various type of exteriors, including brick masonry, limestone, steel, glass, and concrete. Our onsite investigations focus on identifying current deficiencies and repair needs while also assessing potential future problems. We develop preventative maintenance recommendations to assist in maintaining the value of the asset over time.

Plazas
Our Plaza restoration experience includes evaluation through construction administration phases. We have conducted investigations of plaza conditions and designed waterproofing systems for plazas and plaza systems, including hardscape and landscape elements and snowmelt systems. Mark Postma, P.E. authored the plaza deck “Below Grade Waterproofing Systems Whole Building Design Guide” for the National Institute of Building Sciences.

Pedestrian Bridges and Roofs
Restore provides restoration services for pedestrian bridges in varying stages of disrepair and roofs/roofing systems on various types of buildings.

Commissioning Agent / DDR / Construction Monitoring
Restore provides design document review and construction monitoring services on new buildings relative to the building envelope, including parking structures. We review drawings and specifications at various stages for compliance with generally accepted industry standards and accepted construction practices and suitability of building materials.
