The residential population of Avalon, NJ is approximately 1,450 people that swells to 45,000 to 60,000 people during the summer season. Geographically, Avalon is located in Cape May County, South Jersey (a.k.a Seven Mile Island), and is affiliated with Philadelphia and the entire Delaware Valley/Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Avalon is a clean and green community that is maintained through the efforts of the Department of Public Works. The DPW is responsible for by rebuilding this community, assisting with every infrastructure effort through three divisions Streets and Roads, Property Maintenance, and Fleet Maintenance.
