We keep hearing, "This sounds too good to be true." It's not. Our owner has a long history of working in animal hospitals, and we treat all of our team like we would want to be treated. We are an independently owned small animal practice that understands that great people make our business thrive. We offer great and unusual benefits and salary(100k) plus production. We are proud to maintain a high staff to doctor ratio. This allows our doctors to do more and make more without burning out. After a year, an associate could expect to make 180-200k, and with more experience - 200-250k. This is in a place with an average cost of living and an average new home price of $340,000. Much of our staff lives in and around Fredericksburg, which is 20-25 minutes away and an easy commute. In 2022 we completed a new 8,400 sq. ft. free-standing building with 10 exam rooms and a novel design. It's almost two hospitals in one with a separate cat-only facility that includes not just it's own reception, exam rooms and waiting, but treatment, pharmacy, wards, and even laundry. Cats only have to travel to the dog side for X-ray and surgery. But the biggest difference is our staff. We hire the nicest people, and we have a fantastic team. They help each other and are friends outside of work. We have a new digital (not CR) X-ray machine (that is awesome!), doppler ultrasound, and a full suite of blood machines. We do 90% of our blood work in house to increase compliance as well as speed. We offer high quality medical care, with fantastic service and still offer reasonable prices.
