For almost 50 years, our work across the forests, lakes and streams of Northern Michigan has helped improve economic, environmental, educational and recreational opportunities. When we engage people in conservation stewardship, we support sustainable, empowered communities rich with protected natural resources.
Huron Pines is looking to place motivated and aspiring natural resource professionals in ten-month positions with various conservation entities across the state, including the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, U.S Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S Forest Service, Land conservancies, Museums, County offices, and nonprofits. Positions include Fishery Heritage Volunteer Organizer, Education Programs Developer, Silviculture Program Assistant, Stewardship Technician, Conservation Science Technician, Engagement Specialist, Climate Action Technician, Outreach Coordinator, Imperiled Species Education and Outreach Program Coordinator, and many more.
These opportunities offer a multitude of unique experiences to further the development of young professionals or those looking to make a career shift. These opportunities often serve as stepping stones to that coveted career in natural resources.
