INDEPENDENT FINANICAL SERVICES TRUST is a small business in Cleburne, TX. We are autonomous, challenging and our goal is to provide dependable and accurate Spendthrift Trust accounting for our Trust Clients located in all 50 states and several foreign countries. Our company is seeking an experienced accountant with a background in QuickBooks, Excel, and tax law to join our financial team. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work both on their own and as part of a team. The successful candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to manage time efficiently while working quickly under pressure. Our Accountant will be responsible for preparing client financial statements as well as maintaining accurate accounting records and files. Responsibilities: • Work closely with the Chief Financial Officer. • Review financial documents. • Familiar with Chart of Accounts and how to apply them to Financial Statements. • Can enter General Journal entries for both Cash Base and Accrual Base Accounting. • Complete Financial Statements and Tax Returns (Personal and Business). • Understand US tax laws and willing to learn Trust Tax rules. • Plan and implement tax strategies. • Ensure that the US federal tax reporting complies with the US Internal Revenue Service rules. • Research, study, and interpret accounting theories, practices, and methods. • Prepare financial reports for upper management.
