Located in Eagle-Vail Colorado, 90 miles West of Denver between Vail and Beaver Creek Ski Resort .

Market Share: Sign Design took over an existing sign company in 1998 (original shop opened in 1992.) We have a 21 year client base and are the largest sign shop in Eagle county. We are a full service sign shop with our main focus on Electrical and Architectural Signs and Awnings. Being in a smaller community we also operate providing “quick signs” supplying: banners, real estate, vinyl, digital, vehicle wraps, trophy’s and directory strips as part of our service which helps maintain a deep client base.
Customer Base: Our client base ranges from our larger businesses, Marriot, Hyatt, Westin, Four Seasons, Vail and Beaver creek Resort Company, local Town municipalities to serving local entrepreneurial businesses. We specialize in working with start up businesses and have a graphics team that develops logo design into multiple products, Business cards, brochures and into sign needs: vehicle graphics, storefronts, architectural signs etc.
Shop Equipment: We work in computer programs Flexi sign, Corel, Adobe Illustrator and Photo Shop utilizing Quick books for accounting and Microsoft PC base for estimating etc. Sign equipment include a 48” Summa Plotter DC-9 Summa lg format thermal printer, Rowland 54” printer with laminator, a Paint Booth with a Mathews mixing station, a Fabrication area for our power tools, . (goal is to bring in a CNC router, welding and stitching equipment for awnings) As a resort community “commercial” signs are limited in size and height so although we install and service the community there is very little need for a Boom truck but more often incur ladder installation. We are aligned with a local electrician we work with that does have 2 lift trucks which are available to us. We weld in house and have a
strong relationship with a local metal fabricator who offers quick turn around time and has strong metal arts background.
Business Approach: As a resort Community we build a “local” style of business and operate on being
“entrenched” in the community. As Owners we have been in and out of the Vail Valley for 29 years and have built up strong relationships with most businesses in the Valley. Our approach to our service is to be creative, cutting edge in our products offered. We take a very personalized approach toward our clients building “town friendly” relationships in the business community. We support many local charities and fund raisers as part of our community involvement. We take a “team approach” with our crew and depend on positive attitudes and communication to use all our skills to develop the best creative and profitable way to move our business forward. We have created a well organized shop
system helping with daily operations. The shop environment is upbeat with music and an ideal of enjoying our work days and the environment we create while working.
Area and Life Style: Vail Valley offers world class recreation in a small town setting. The advantage is the
tourist dollar bringing business opportunity not often found in smaller towns. Traffic is a non issue with only a few traffic lights in the valley. The outlying area offers close access to outdoor recreation including skiing, snow mobiles, fly fishing, rafting, kayaking, hunting, hiking, camping, Biking, motorcycling & 4 wheel drive to name a few. Culturally the town hosts constant events: music, art, theatre etc. as part of the “resort” experience. Community attitude is friendly
and outgoing. Crime and aggression are almost non existent. Schools are well funded along with many private and Christian schools in area. 4 season weather with 300 days a year of sunshine. We are in the west plains of the Rocky Mountains and our area has much warmer weather than the internal “high country” mountain regions. Summers offer warm temperatures that cool down in evenings offering a dry climate and low humidity with no “heat” discomfort.
