Overview of Position: Responsible for helping our dental clinics serve our patients more efficiently and compassionately. The ideal candidate will be friendly, outgoing and highly organized. He or she will be responsible for all management duties for front office and clinical staff, including reception, hygienists, and dental assisting professionals. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications: High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or similar field preferred. 5+ years’ dental management experience required. Experience leading a multi-facility dental practice preferred.

Knowledge/Skills: Excellent customer service and leadership skills. Working knowledge of dental billing, regulatory requirements, and insurance protocols. Some accounting experience preferred. Ability to multi-task efficiently and excellent computer skills

Essential Job Functions:
• Daily operations, policy and procedures, implementation, and staff management related to all dental offices/facilities. This includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly review of productivity and quality goals.
• Create, establish and manage internal office protocols and procedures to ensure office efficiency.
• Hire and train new office staff to respond to patients’ needs.
• Collaborate with the dentist(s) to provide feedback in order to improve operational and financial practices while ensuring an outstanding patient experience.
• Maintain the dental clinic’s budget.
• Oversee the prior authorization process related to general preventive services and non-routine or specialty services.
• Actively participates in dental practice activities and proactively seeks improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirement: Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity adequately to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted in normal daily activities and up to 30 lbs. for other required work activities. Additionally, requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (especially if keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
