North Shore Animal League America’s Pet Health Centers consists of the Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center, Don and Karen LaRocca Pet Wellness Center, and the Elizabeth Freed Special Recovery Center as well as Animal League America's shelter medical facility. These facilities are AAHA accredited and provide high quality, affordable care to animals in need. Whether an animal in our shelter waiting for a forever home, an NSALA adopted pet or a family pet from the community, they all receive the same compassion and high quality care. The Pet Health Centers, located on Animal League America’s Port Washington, N.Y. campus, supports our no-kill mission – with every dollar going towards our mission to Rescue, Nurture, Adopt and Educate!

Our facilities are fully equipped with state of the art equipment. In house capabilities a rehabilitation suite (including underwater treadmill), dental suite, digital full body and dental radiology, flexible and rigid endoscopy, class IV therapy laser, ultrasound with doppler, fully equipped surgical suite performing both soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, and isolation facility. We see over 30,000 cases annually, providing an exciting and challenging work environment.

Our veterinarians and medical staff are compassionate and enthusiastic, and provide incredible care at very affordable rates. We are a full service facility with state of the art equipment including digital radiology, endoscopy, on-site laboratory, oxygen therapy, ultrasound, and a full dental suite.
