At AccuRounds, precision is a way of life. How We Got Started

Our founder, Len Tamasi was an immigrant from Italy. He conducted business with a set of values and principles to always base decisions on what’s right for team members and customers, provide a quality product and deliver a superior level of service. In 1976, he purchased B&F Swiss, located in Canton, MA. Len changed the name to AccuRounds and moved the business to Avon, MA in 1979.
In the 1970’s, technology advanced from Cam screw machines to CNC Swiss screw machines. AccuRounds was one of the first contract manufacturing companies to run this computerized technology. OEMs seeking quality components at a competitive price partner with us for a seamless customer experience.
In 1995, we made it our mission to become a World Class manufacturing operation and implemented lean manufacturing. In 2006, AccuRounds won The Northeast Shingo Prize, becoming the first contract metalworking company in North America to achieve this distinction.

What is different about AccuRounds? Is it a facility that offers an awesome medical and dental plan? Maybe it has high paying wages with minimal work effort. Those are characteristics that could be compared to anywhere someone works. For me, AccuRounds is more that that. Over the years AccuRounds has provided me the opportunity to grow my skills in a challenging environment while still having the support of my senior co-workers. It is that very word, support, that makes AccuRounds very different from other manufacturing facilities of this day. They do their very best not only to support you in your professional growth but your personal growth as well. AccuRounds has always opened their doors to many co-op, extern and intern students. Even though not all may stay, AccuRounds still chooses to dedicate a lot of time and resources into supporting the growth of the next generation. Starting from a 17-year-old co-op student, until now an employee of 10 years it has been a long journey, but I’m glad that journey has been at AccuRounds.
