MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The objective of a Subway Restaurant Manager is to: maximize profitability by increasing sales and maintaining costs, manage a team of Sandwich Artist, maintain cleanliness and other compliance items to meet or exceed standards set by the Compliance Report.

PRIMARY LIST OF DUTIES FOR MANAGERS:
• Able to stand for long periods of time, lift, push, pull up to 10 lbs consistently and up to 35 lbs. on occasion
• Able to make daily bank deposits on a daily basis; a valid Florida Driver’s License and use of an insured reliable motor vehicle is an essential function of this job; Driver Records Reports are run at the time of hire and thereafter as deemed necessary
? Consistently provide fresh food out of a spotless Subway with fast and friendly service.
? Expected to be in full uniform at all times when you are working and ensure that the rest of the employees are doing the same
? Responsible for working a minimum of 45 hours during their restaurant’s hours of operation and a minimum of 5 hours outside of the hours of operation
? Expected to fill in any shift left vacant outside of their scheduled hours regardless of reasons
? Able to respond to all emergency calls from your restaurant including during off hours
? Responsible for the operations of their restaurant during all hours, not solely their scheduled work hours
? Responsible for the following: interviewing and onboarding new team members, ongoing training & development, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining & coaching team members, rewarding and terminating team members
? Able to train all new hires. All training must be done by the shop manager. Allotted training hours that will not count against productivity are:
4 hours for a new hire
8 hours for a closer
8 hours for an opener

? Responsible for being aware of the amount of time that each employee has worked in the week
? Must manage all team members schedules and hours worked
? Support local and national marketing initiatives
? Must be involved in promotions on an ongoing basis to increase sales
? Must present marketing ideas / promotions to the area Supervisor for review and approval
? Order all product(s) necessary to meet the requirements of the menu items, including maintaining quality controls and portion specifications mandated by Headquarters and our company
? Responsible for inventory and money control systems

? Maintain cleanliness and other compliance benchmarks in order to meet or exceed standards set forth in the Compliance Report
? Ensure the restaurant is open for all hours of operation established by the company
? Inspect all equipment and fixtures inside the restaurant to ensure they are in proper working order and/or in good condition
? Coordinate needed repairs and maintenance with Area Supervisor
? Attendance at all meetings, seminars, and other business functions mandated by the company
? Maintain and analyze business records to increase sales and understand the workings of their restaurant
? Accurately complete all DAILY paperwork required by Headquarters and our company
? Accurately complete WEEKLY paperwork required by Headquarters and our company
? Report all weekly sales numbers to your assigned Area Supervisor as well as to the Office staff
? Implement and enforce all policies and procedures established by PCMD Management, Inc and Headquarters


Production time- Production time is 45 hours scheduled weekly while the restaurant is open for business. During those hours, managers are making sandwiches, providing school lunch orders, ordering, scheduling, hiring and training employees, supervising and coaching employees, etc.

Management time- Management time refers to time spent preparing the restaurant for opening, doing weekending paperwork, banking, marketing, etc. These responsibilities will encompass an estimated five (5) hours per week.
