Join the Norfolk Housing Authority Team

The Norfolk Housing Authority seeks a maintenance person for 25 hours per week with general knowledge of property maintenance. Normal working hours are 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM Monday-Friday. Base wage is $28.00 per hour with a generous benefit package including health insurance.

Applicants should have experience with carpentry, flooring repairs, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, cleaning, painting, groundskeeping and snow removal. General knowledge of maintenance systems, building equipment, small tools and the ability to lift 50 pounds is required. Applicant must be computer literate and able to read and write in English. Applicant must be available for rotating on call after hours service calls and weather emergency duties as required.

Applicant must possess a high school degree/GED, valid driver’s license, exhibit an exemplary motor vehicle driving record, pass a criminal background check, drug screening and physical exam.
