A typical day is never predictable. The environment is fast-paced and challenging but with a supportive group of staff beside you it is totally manageable and worth every second. I have grown to be more patient and flexible and even feel better about asking my supervisors questions; this is coming from a shy and reserved individual. The hardest part of the job is watching behaviors occur but even so, supervisors are always present even if you don't call for assistance they come and check on their client's and their staff. The most enjoyable part is being able to witness growth and success in your client(s). As I am writing this I have not been with the company over three months and I already see client progress which reassures me this company is moving nowhere but forward.

A typical workday at Innovations in Learning can be stressful and chaotic, however each day offers so much opportunity to learn new things and help children grow to their full potential. I have learned so munch about children with Autism and developmental disabilities while working for this company. I have learned many different techniques of teaching styles in order to benefit each individual client's educational needs. The most difficult part about this job would have to be the patience it requires to work in this field. Although it is difficult at times to keep patience it is a very rewarding feeling at the end of the day to feel you have helped these children learn and grow, which I would have to say is the best part of this position.
