Cited in 2001, by a National advocate, as being one of the top ten local homeless coalitions in the country, The Greater Wheeling Coalition for the Homeless continues to grow as a dynamic and diverse non-profit. While maintaining the feel of a small business (less than 15 full time employees) we creatively carry out our mission which encompasses serving the homeless of the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia through providing comprehensive programming and agency owned supportive housing opportunities. We are fast paced agency focusing on ending homelessness permanently. Our team is well suited for self-motivated people who work independently while maintaining the organizational focus of implementing innovative programs and establishing outstanding outcomes. Additionally, the Coalition serves as a pivotal community organizer through leading the local Continuum of Care (forty-five member community planning group) and participating in many community-based and State-wide planning efforts.
