Role Description

The Director of Quality Assurance is a full-time, on-site role based in the Columbus, Ohio Metropolitan Area, responsible for overseeing quality programs across the organization. This role leads the design, implementation, and improvement of quality systems and processes to ensure regulatory compliance, clinical effectiveness, and client safety. The Director monitors key performance indicators, conducts internal audits and reviews, and partners with clinical and operational leaders to develop corrective and preventive action plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing documentation, analyzing data trends, updating policies and procedures, and preparing reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders. The Director also provides training and coaching to staff on quality standards, supports accreditation and licensing activities, and champions a culture of continuous improvement and ethical practice.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with demonstrated experience designing and maintaining quality programs.
  • Proficiency in Quality Management and Quality Systems, including policy development, process mapping, metrics tracking, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in Quality Auditing, including planning and conducting audits, documenting findings, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory and accreditation standards within behavioral health or healthcare environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, psychology, social work, public health, quality management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (eg, CPHQ, Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into practical quality initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports and facilitate trainings for diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including staff coaching, cross-functional collaboration, and managing change in a clinical or behavioral health setting.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to equitable, person-centered care.
