Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Oregon, MO. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients in a skilled nursing facility regain or improve daily living skills after injury, illness, or disability. This role involves delivering rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary interventions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and documenting according to regulatory and clinical practice standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Occupational Therapist state license required to start the assignment.
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience required.
- Experience in long term care (LTC) or rehabilitation required.
- Documentation: current resume and skills checklist within the past year required at time of submission.
- Ability to perform standardized assessments, ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, and utilize assistive devices per regulatory and clinical requirements.
- Ability to accurately document treatment minutes and clinical records in an electronic documentation system.
- Ability to supervise and support occupational therapy assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students as needed.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- New graduates considered only with completed Level II experience rather than solely Level I observation experience. (Preferred.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in skilled nursing facility settings preferred.
- Familiarity with cognitive and ADL-focused interventions preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift schedule: 8 hour days, 35 GWW.
- Weekend requirement: None.
- Must be able to obtain necessary DME and supplies per clinical practice requirements.
- May be required to participate in facility meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings.

Impacting Patient Care
Provide patient-centered occupational therapy using standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions. Evaluate and document treatment outcomes, adjust care plans accordingly, and provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers. Deliver comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure compliance with NBCOT and state practice acts and ethics.
