GovCIO is currently hiring a highly skilled Senior Applicion Developer with an active Secret clearance to design, build, and modify applicion software using programming languages such as Java, ColdFusion, JavaScript, and C#. This position will be loced in Fairfax, VA and will be a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:- Implement multiple design pterns.
- Integre COTS products, use APIs, interact with da repositories, cross-domain solutions, and manage system interfaces.
- Manage legacy code and/or develop new code using container technologies.
- Develop and execute unit tests to verify code meets functional requirements.
- Resolve integrion issues, vulnerabilities, and functional defects.
- Develop and maintain secure, scalable Java applicions supporting cross-domain da exchange in compliance with federal standards.
- Collabore with system architects, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders to implement mission-critical feures.
- Integre with enterprise services and APIs, ensuring secure communicion across multiple classificion levels.
- Participe in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical reviews.
- Write clean, well-documented code th adheres to federal security and software development lifecycle (SDLC) guidelines.
- Support modernizion efforts by refactoring legacy systems into cloud-nive, containerized Java applicions.
- Conduct unit and integrion testing and assist in automed deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Collabore with cross-functional teams to ensure interoperability, da integrity, and compliance with cross-domain solution (CDS) policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or reled field with 12+ years of experience with large integred projects and 5+ years of professional experience in Java development, preferably in federal or defense contracting environments. (or commensure experience).
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability.
- Strong knowledge of Java SE/EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
- Familiarity with cross-domain solution architectures, da labeling, and secure da transfer protocols.
- Experience working in secure environments, preferably within the DOJ, and understanding of FISMA, NIST, or RMF compliance.
- Proficiency with build tools (Maven/Gradle), version control (Git), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Exposure to containerizion technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud plforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
- Understanding of secure coding practices and experience with stic/dynamic code analysis tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a cross-functional Agile team.
