We are a fast-growing real estate investment firm focused on residential fix-and-flip projects and expanding into new residential construction throughout New Jersey, with plans for future national expansion. We are looking for a highly experienced, motivated, and hands-on Construction Manager / Foreman to help build and lead our construction division.

This is not a standard “collect a paycheck” position. We are looking for someone who takes pride in building projects correctly, leading people effectively, solving problems, and helping grow an organization long term. The right person will play a major role in shaping the future of this company.

This individual will help build out and manage an existing small construction crew while overseeing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, quality control, and job-site operations across multiple residential projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential renovation and new construction projects from start to finish
• Lead and mentor field crews, subcontractors, and laborers
• Build and expand an efficient, high-performing construction team
• Ensure all work is completed correctly, efficiently, safely, and on schedule
• Inspect work quality and identify deficiencies or improper workmanship
• Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, and scheduling
• Read and interpret construction plans, scopes of work, and specifications
• Monitor project budgets, labor costs, and overall profitability
• Maintain accountability and productivity on job sites
• Assist ownership with scaling construction operations as the company grows
• Problem-solve issues in the field quickly and effectively
• Ensure projects meet company standards and municipal code requirements

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a residential home builder
• Proven experience as a construction foreman managing both subcontractors and in-house crews
• Practical hands-on construction knowledge across residential trades
• Ability to recognize improper work and instruct crews on proper methods
• Experience managing multiple residential projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project management
• Strong budgeting and profit & loss management experience
• Ability to manage schedules and deadlines under pressure
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Must be dependable, hardworking, and growth-oriented
• Must be willing to work long hours when necessary to help grow the organization
• Must have a mechanically reliable vehicle
• Must be able to pass a background check
