Full Time Machine Equipment Operator (MEO)

The Town of Boston Highway Department is seeking candidates for the role of Full Time Machine Equipment Operator (MEO) . This position offers a pay rate of $29.58/hr, with work hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Qualified applicants should be 18+, hold a clean NYS CDL, and be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor. Job duties include the repair and maintenance of Town-owned roads and right-of-ways; operation of a variety of heavy equipment such as snowplows, loaders, graders, backhoes, roller, mowers, and bituminous sprayers; routine maintenance to heavy equipment; and manual labor including, but not limited to, brush collection. Winter season requires on-call availability and/or shift work for snowplowing. A six-month probationary period applies. Residency in the Town of Boston is preferred, but not required.
