An acute care hospital in Charleston, WV is seeking experienced Radiologists for long-term locum tenens opportunities across two distinct practice settings. Whether you prefer a high-volume emergency-focused environment or a more balanced diagnostic role with subspecialty exposure, these opportunities offer flexibility, transparent scheduling expectations, strong compensation, and long-term assignment stability.

Position 1: ER / Inpatient Radiologist (High-Volume)
Schedule: Friday–Monday | 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Overview
This opportunity is ideal for Radiologists who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with high-volume emergency and inpatient imaging. The role includes significant exposure to stroke imaging and emergency case interpretation while maintaining collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret high-volume ER and inpatient imaging studies
- Read across XR, CT, MR, US, and Nuclear Medicine modalities
- Manage a case mix heavily focused on emergency imaging, including stroke-related studies
- Support additional reads including musculoskeletal (MSK) and neuro imaging
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and collaborate with care teams to support patient outcomes
Position 2: General Radiologist (Virtual Colonoscopy Focus)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview
This role offers a more balanced diagnostic radiology experience, combining general imaging interpretation with a focus on virtual colonoscopy. Physicians in this role will work across a mix of ER, inpatient, and subspecialty imaging while maintaining a predictable weekday schedule that supports work-life balance and clinical consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging across multiple modalities
- Perform and interpret virtual colonoscopy studies
- Manage a balanced mix of ER, inpatient, and Nuclear Medicine imaging cases
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation while supporting interdisciplinary clinical teams
Requirements (Both Roles)
- Board Certified in Radiology required
- Minimum 2+ years of radiology experience required
- Ability to interpret imaging across all modalities required
- Active state license required or willingness to obtain (licensing assistance available)
- Strong communication, efficiency, and clinical judgment in a collaborative care environment
Additional Preferences
- ER/Inpatient Role: Strong experience with high-volume reads and stroke imaging preferred
- General Radiology Role: Experience with virtual colonoscopy preferred
Scheduling & Contract Details
- Minimum 40 hours per month required
- Providers must maintain at least 3 months of scheduled shifts at all times
- Long-term assignment with consistent and ongoing coverage needs
- Clear scheduling expectations and role transparency provided throughout onboarding and placement
