Staff Optometrist

Balin Eye & Laser Center is a long-established MD/OD collaborative practice in Northampton, Massachusetts. Our model integrates comprehensive medical optometry with high-volume surgical ophthalmology in a collegial, team-based environment.

The incoming Optometrist will provide:

• Primary eye care and ocular disease management
• Pre- and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients
• Advanced dry eye treatment including LipiFlow and IPL
• Specialty contact lens and scleral lens fittings
•  

Our practice includes 10 fully equipped exam lanes, an on-site LASIK surgical suite, and dedicated minor procedure rooms. We maintain a strong technician support structure that allows our providers to practice efficiently while focusing on high-quality patient care.

We are seeking an optometrist interested in long-term professional growth. Partnership potential exists for the right candidate. The position offers a 4.5-day work week and a salary range of $145,000–$165,000 depending on experience, with additional performance-based compensation. Full-time hours are preferred but an abbreviated schedule will be considered. 

We welcome experienced optometrists and are equally open to mentoring a strong new graduate. Residency training is highly valued.
