Job Description
Salary: $3,190.01 - $3,390.01 /wk
Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist and perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will operate and perform quality assurance for imaging equipment, monitor patients during procedures, and support complex IR and Neuro IR cases. Experience with Siemens and GE imaging systems and familiarity with EPIC and PACS workflows is preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
- ARRT (RT[R]) certification required.
- Active Wisconsin state radiologic technologist license required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of IR experience required; department will accept candidates with 1 year of IR experience and first-time travelers with IR experience are acceptable.
- Demonstrated ability to independently circulate and scrub for IR basic to complex procedures, including kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central line/PICC/port placements, fistulograms, IVC filters, nephrostomy/nephroureteral stents, peripheral interventions, coil embolization, thoracentesis/paracentesis, and CT-guided procedures.
- Experience scrubbing and panning simultaneously required.
- Familiarity with Siemens and GE imaging equipment preferred.
- Experience with injector systems such as MedRad preferred.
- Neuro IR experience preferred; candidates without Neuro IR should be prepared for manager approval for Neuro cases.
- Comfort with charging/coding for procedures preferred but not required.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Schedule pattern: 3x12.
- Standard hours per week: 36.
- Department staffed 24/7; all-adult patient population.
- Rooms: 5 procedural rooms; CT room supported by IR.
- Orientation and unit support: two coordinators, two lead techs, tech specialists, respiratory therapy and hospitalists available 24/7, CNA/transport available 24/7.
- Floating: No floating required.

Facility and Clinical Details
- Level III Trauma Center with Level III NICU and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Magnet-designated hospital with approximately 933 beds.
- Typical daily patient volume: around 40-50 patients per day.
- Technology: EPIC EMR preferred, Change Healthcare PACS, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing.
- Procedures performed include general IR and Neuro IR (strokes, embolization, DSA, WADA testing), CT-guided biopsies and drains, cryo procedures, vascular and oncologic interventions.
