A facility in Elizabeth, New Jersey seeks locum tenens pathologist coverage for specific assignment periods beginning June 1st. The facility maintains comprehensive pathology services with technical support staff and frozen section capabilities. Board certification and active New Jersey licensure or IMLC are required for this intermittent coverage assignment.

Daily responsibilities include interpreting 20-25 cases per day encompassing rapid onsite examination of cytology specimens, surgical pathology sign out, and cytopathology sign out. The position requires performing frozen sections with the clinician responsible for cutting their own frozen sections, while grossing procedures are not required for this assignment.
