Medical Laboratory Technician / Technologist

We are immediately hiring for a Medical Laboratory Technician / Technologist here in the Columbus, Ohio area! This is a long-term career opportunity and we are looking for someone with an Associates or Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent. Pay will be determined by a combination of experience and level of education.

Job Description

You will perform medical laboratory testing on patient samples, including both routine and complex technical procedures. You will ensure that these functions are carried out in the laboratory information system efficiently and accurately. This is in an outpatient setting and will be performing hands on testing and will also involved drawing blood samples from patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform medical laboratory testing on patient samples.
  • Conduct routine and complex technical procedures in the laboratory information system.
  • Carry out phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, reporting, and storage of patient samples.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulations.
  • Communicate test results as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a similar equivalent
  • Preference for 1+ years of industry experience, but might be open to considering entry-level candidates with just the degree.
  • Candidates do NOT have to be ASCP Certified, although that would be a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.86 - $32.86/hr.
