Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and documentation of projects from schematic design through construction documents.
- Translate design intent into clear, coordinated, and accurate construction drawings.
- Develop detailed wall sections, assemblies, and architectural details aligned with project standards and constructability.
- Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and quality control throughout all project phases.
- Coordinate architectural work with consultants including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty disciplines.
- Perform drawing reviews and participate in internal QA/QC processes.
- Assist in identifying and resolving conflicts prior to construction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and zoning regulations.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and interior design team members in a collaborative studio environment.
- Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings and internal design reviews.
- Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visits.
- Assist in addressing field conditions and maintaining design intent throughout construction.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Architecture, Revit, ArchiCAD, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Working knowledge of building codes and construction methods.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- Professional licensure is preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in higher education, recreational, corporate, hospitality, retail, health/wellness, religious, or related projects.
