Job Description
Salary: $2,706.81 - $2,906.81 /wk
Become a vital part of a hospital team in Albany, NY as an experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist. You will perform CT imaging procedures, administer contrast materials as indicated by physician orders, operate CT equipment, assist with specialized CT-guided procedures, and support clinical education activities in a fast-paced, Level I trauma and academic medical center.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program (minimum: two-year AMA/JRCERT-equivalent or accredited program).
- Licensure/Certification: Current New York State registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a valid limited permit to practice in New York.
- Credentialing: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration in Radiography or CT-specific ARRT credential.
- Certifications: Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
- Experience: Entry level accepted. MIT level and assignment will be based on demonstrated skill set and experience. Experience in trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, or research CT settings is preferred.
- Clinical Competencies: Demonstrated ability to perform trauma and emergency CT scanning, CT-guided procedures, adhere to radiation safety practices consistent with New York State Department of Health code part 16, and provide patient-centered care.
- Client-Specific Requirements: Ability to work in a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center environment. Support teaching and learning activities for students and staff. Compliance with local candidate eligibility policies as required by the client.
- Preferred: Prior experience in an academic medical center or Level I trauma center. CT cross-sectional anatomy and contrast administration experience.
